His artistic journey started in digital illustration during his time at medical school at the University of Malta. Since moving to Glasgow, Ben has become passionate about ink illustration and painting and now uses the medium to portray the nostalgic colours of the Maltese Islands.

The High Commissioner in London HE Norman Hamilton relinquished his duties on 31 July 2018. As is customary, he was called upon by the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, HE Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) who presented him with a gift from Her Majesty The Queen. To reciprocate, the High Commissioner presented the Marshal with a gift for Her Majesty, a painting by consultant paediatrician Prof. Victor Grech.

Faye Grech was born on the 19th of August 1995. She is currently reading for a Master of Psychology in hopes of becoming an educational psychologist. Her experience centres around work with children. She was also voluntarily involved in the planning and implementation of a children’s summer camp in Swansea, Wales, along with the sisters of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart. She hopes to continue to work towards improving the wellbeing of children.

Rosita Farrugia was born on 11th July 1952. She worked in Cardiac Lab and X-ray Dept. as a nurse. She worked in Italy with the Department of Peadiatrics for 12 years in Florence and Verona. She went for missionary work for 2 years in Kenya and 2 years in Nigeria and also to Cosovo where they took 4 containers to the Red Cross. She is also a member in the Malta Council in the Voluntary sector and she is also a member of the Fraternity of Charles de Faoucauld.

Adrian Mizzi is a consultant radiologist at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta. His special interests are chest and interventional vascular radiology. He studied medicine at University of Malta between 1990 and 1995 and pursued post-graduate training in radiology in Glasgow, UK between 1999 and 2005. He is post-graduate training coordinator for radiology and is the president of the Maltese Association of Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians.

Daren J. Caruana has an interdisciplinary background, having read Biochemistry at the University of Warwick, PhD in Electrochemistry at the University of Southampton, then after a spell at the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Malta he spent a postdoctoral fellowship at the Chemical Engineering department at the university of Texas at Austin working with Prof. Adam Heller. He was awarded the Marlow Medal and prize (2004) for the development of gas phase electrochemistry and is now a Reader in Physical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at UCL. His research interests are focused towards understanding the electrochemical properties of plasmas and extending electrochemical science to the gas phase through new applications, including developing new analytical methodology for bioaerosols.
